Soundstripe at 10: The 10 Songs that Made Us

by Soundstripe Team
Feb 12, 2026

What if you could give creators genuinely great music and build a real, sustainable income stream for artists?

That question became Soundstripe. And today, we're celebrating the only way we know how with the songs that got us here.

This isn't your typical "greatest hits" playlist. These are the tracks that proved stock music didn't have to sound like stock music. The ones that landed in Super Bowl ads and hit TV shows. The bangers that reminded us why we started this thing in the first place and why over 1.5 million creators have trusted us to soundtrack their stories.

Over the past decade, our music has generated billions of streams and helped us pay out millions to the artists who make it all possible. We've issued 21 million licenses worldwide. We've worked with everyone from indie YouTubers to the teams behind Nike, Netflix, and that Cirkul Super Bowl spot.

But these 10 songs? They're the ones that defined the journey.

The Playlist That Built a Company

"The Count" by Adrian Walther
This is where it all started. Recorded in a home studio in 2016, "The Count" became Soundstripe's first genuine hit. Downloaded everywhere, featured constantly. One of our founders, Travis knew we'd made it when he heard the track playing on an airport shuttle bus. Sometimes success shows up in the most random places.

"Light As Air" by Reveille
Our all-time top-earning track. Producer Brendan St. Gelais set out to merge organic, acoustic elements with electronic components, creating something motivational and inspiring, but anchored in authenticity. Turns out, that's exactly what creators needed. This track has resonated more than any other in our history.

"Motivation" by Ivy Bakes
A top-five earner with the kind of unstoppable energy that keeps creators coming back. Some songs just hit different.

"Only The Brave Run Wild" by Sounds Like Sander
Another all-time top-five earner. Bold title. Bold sound. Bold impact.

"Sunrise" by Cody Martin
Cody crafted this track specifically for the Soundstripe community, targeting cinematic, wedding, and corporate needs. Mission accomplished, and then some.

"Chasing The Light" by Luna Wave
This collaboration between Aaron Sprinkle and Jessie Villa hit Spotify's New Release Friday, and suddenly we realized: "Wait, this talent is incredible. We're not just a licensing platform. We're a real label." Sometimes you need that external validation to see what you've been building all along.

"Hold On To Let Go" by My Buddy Mike, Jessie Villa
Another Jessie Villa collab that found success beyond Soundstripe. These moments proved we weren't just licensing tracks. We were helping launch real careers.

"First Light" by Half Measure
Our first placement on Grey's Anatomy (Season 22). Hearing your music in a show that's been a cultural institution for two decades? That hits different.

"Songbirds" by Chelsea McGough & Emorie
Featured in an Electrolux ad campaign, this track stood out for being genuinely unique. Not every song needs to fit the mold. Sometimes the most distinctive pieces make the biggest waves.

"The Need For Speed" by Tiger Gang
Our first Super Bowl ad placement (for Cirkul). If there was ever a moment that made us pause and think "we really did this," this was it.

This Isn't Stock. It's the Soundtrack.

These 10 songs represent more than streams and downloads. They're proof that music licensing doesn't have to mean settling for generic, AI-generated filler. They're evidence that real artists making real songs can thrive in this space. And they're a testament to the creators who trust us to help tell their stories.

We've paid out over $13 million in royalties to artists. We've worked alongside musicians with Grammy Awards, Gold and Platinum records, and Billboard #1 hits. And we're just getting started.

Here's to 10 years of music that actually moves people. And to the next decade of tracks we haven't heard yet.
