How do I delete my account and personal data if I have a free account?

You can delete your account yourself, and it happens right away.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Click Account.
  4. Click Profile.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  6. Click the Delete account button.
  7. Enter your password, then click Delete my account.

Your account and personal data are deleted immediately and can't be recovered.


How do I delete my account and personal data if I have (or previously had) a subscription?

Because a subscription is or was attached to your account, our support team needs to help finish the deletion. You have two ways to start:

Option 1: Email us

  • Email help@soundstripe.com from the email address associated with your account. This helps us verify ownership and protect your data.

Option 2: Send a request from your account

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Click Account.
  4. Click Profile.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  6. Click the Clear Personal Data button. 
  7. Enter your password, then click Send request

 

After you submit, you'll be logged out and our support team will reach out by email about your account and your request.

 

Tips & tricks

  • Make sure you're logged in with the exact account you want to delete before you start.
  • The button is different depending on your account: free accounts see Delete account, while subscribers see Clear Personal Data.
  • If you're emailing us, send it from the address on your account so we can confirm it's really you.
  • Deletion is permanent. Once your account is gone, you'll lose access to everything tied to it, including your subscription and any licenses or downloads, and it can't be undone.
