Why won't autoplay work on my browser?

Learn why autoplay may be blocked in your browser and how to enable it in Safari or Chrome.

What you'll learn here

  • Why modern browsers block autoplay by default
  • How to enable autoplay in Safari and Chrome
  • What to expect after changing your settings

Autoplay is commonly blocked by browsers to improve user experience and reduce unwanted audio.

  • Safari and Chrome now prevent autoplay by default
  • This is controlled by your browser settings, not Soundstripe
  • You can allow autoplay by updating your browser preferences

To enable autoplay in Safari:

  • Go to Settings → Websites → Auto-Play
  • Find Soundstripe and allow autoplay

In Chrome:

  • Autoplay is typically allowed after user interaction (like clicking play once)

Tips & tricks

  • If autoplay still doesn't work, refresh the page after updating settings
